Only on the basis on Mantoux test result, anti tubercular drugs should not be started. This test is used for only screening purpose. It is just give additional information about having TB infection. So tuberculosis should not be diagnosed by Mantoux positive. You symptoms like loss of appetite, evening rise fever, vomiting etc can be due to intestinal infection. So better to get done blood reports, ultrasound examination of abdomen and chest x ray to rule rule out other possible causes. Don t start anti tubercular drugs at present.
