Does Medical Surgical Abortion Without Anasthesia Hurt?

Hi, I found out two days ago that I m pregnant, I have booked an appointment for abortion, I have decided to do medical surgical abortion without anaesthesia, but worried whether that will hurt me? Secondly I am travelling in two days to Dubai for holidays so would that effect my journey..

Hi,
If you are going to have a medical induced abortion, please make sure you get it done under the supervision of a specialist. This is an outpatient procedure and does not need any anesthesia. The process is usually complete in 2-3 days, but, you need to take rest for at least a week. So, you may not be able to travel within the next 2 days. You should also get a follow up visit to the doctor and also get a trans-vaginal sonogram after two weeks to ensure completion of the abortion. Hope this helps.
