Does Medication Bring Cholesterol Levels To Normal?
My age 38 height 164 cm Wt 68 kg I have been diagnosed with a blood cholesterol level 240. My doctor gave me medicines for a month and asked me to do the blood test a week after the course of medicine. I would like to know if these medicines can bring cholesterol level within in the normal parameters ? Please held
Dear Sir/Madam Thanks for your query. Yes, Medication can bring cholesterol levels down and at times in desired range too. However we normally do not repeat the levels before 12 weeks in our practice. It is assumed that time taken by these medications and life style modification will take some time to bring cholesterol levels down. Sincerely Sukhvinder
