Nexito LS/plus contains escitalopram and clonazepam. It is used for treatment of depression associated with anxiety. The common side effects of escitalopram are headache, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, diarrhea, constipation, insomnia, dizziness, tremor, anxiety, abnormal dreams, restlessness, sinusitis, yawning, joint pain, myalgia, pyrexia, and fatigue. The common side effects of clonazepam are drowsiness, fatigue, behavioural disturbances including aggressiveness, agitation, hyperkinesis and irritability, dizziness, anorexia, visual disturbances, rhinorrhoea, chest congestion and shortness of breath. Above side effects are not seen in all patients and are seen at higher doses. Some patients feel side effects but these are easily manageable. Also these are seen in early stage of treatment. You become adapted to it with progress of time. These are safer medicines. Duration of treatment depends upon your symptoms. If you are responding then it’s good. But there should be a sustained response. On stoppage of Nexito, there might be relapse of depression. Advice 1. Continue Nexito LS at bed time as suggested by your doctor 2. Do not change medicines or stop it unless suggested by your doctor 3. Start workout in gym at least half an hour in a day for 5 days in a week 4. Do meditation 5.
