Does Meftal-p Cause Side Effects?

Hello doctor my daughter is 18 months old and she is suffering from fever from couple of days back. I consult with doctor and is prescribe Meftal- P but this medicen is not effective, fever is daily in routine. You pls suggest me what might b the reason for fever and also the bad effect of the same medican. Thanks

Hii..

From the presentation, it seems your daughter have some sort of infection in blood,
I will advise you to go to paeds doctor again, ask for blood test. Keep her hydrated with fluid and ORS solution, look for seizures or abnormal behavior.
I will advise she needs these blood tests , complete blood count, Urea and Electrolytes, urine routine and culture and sensitivity, Malaria dual antigen, Dengue serology.
Regarding Meftal-P , it doesnt have any serious side effects, It can cause nausea, vomiting, pruritis, Abdominal Pain, ringing in ears(these all occur in 10% of cases)
