Does Mild Pelviectasis In Utero Affects Appetite And Growth In A Child?
hi, i have a 15 month old boy who was diagnosed with mild pelviectasis in utero. He still appears to have this condition and is now being referred to a nephrologist for follow up. Can you pls tell me if this condition affects appetite and growth in a child?

Regarding your child, what is the degree of pelviectasis now? If it is mild and he is not having frequent urinary tract infection (UTI), and both his kidney functions are normal, it doesn't affect his growth much. But if he has frequent UTI, and the dilatation is increasing, and his renal functions are deteriorating, it will affect their growth which is not the case in your child.
