Does Minimal Fluid In Pouch Of Douglas Causes Trouble In Conceiving?

Dear Doctor, what if I did Ultrasound scan and the report have the following "minimal fluid in Pouch of Douglas" and i had high temprature and some pain in the area where the Douglas Pouch exists. Is this is something that can affect getting pregnant.

hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion fluid in poch of douglas is seen usually in pelvic inflammatory disease(PID).PID might be associated with fever,pain abdomen,altered vaginal discharge. If there are no the above said symptoms the fluid in pouch of douglas might be a incidental finding.PID might interfere with pregnancy sometimes.I suggest you to consult doctor and get examined by doctor for confirmation of diagnosis.Dont worry it might subside with antiboitics.
