Does Mucus In Stool Indicate A Stomach Infection?

Dr first diagnosis me with bronchitis on last Friday and I taken Z pal and steroid medicine. I gotten diarrhea and I had to go back to doctor and he diagnosed me with c. Diff and put me on another antibiotic again. My stool look like a sausage lining could my stomach be bad.

Stomach infection may cause mucous in stools, Clostridium infection may cause mucous and blood.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Continue above medications for one to two weeks.

After one week get stool culture done, if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
