Does My Daughter S Bump And Nose Bleed From A Fall Need Investigation?

Hello My name is ramanath kamath from whitefield bangalore. today my daughter fell from bed, which is 1 feet hight. immediatly she started crying, there was no omiting, motion or urine passing. i took her to the hospital immedialty they analized and said fine. heart beat is fine and i sprinkled water on her face and woke her up. her activities are normal as i observe. Dr said you can also take CT scan if you want. but baby is not sleeping. so they said you can come tomorrow. i am worried becuase she got one bump on her forehead and little blood from nose. can you please suggest me here.

Hi,

A fall from 1 feet height is very unlikely to cause significant head injury. Just watch for severe headache/recurrent vomiting/excessive drowsiness/seizure for next 24 hours- if no such symptoms, nothing to worry and absolutely no need of CT scan causing unnecessary radiation exposure. Just be relaxed. Apply ice over the bump, and give paracetamol for pain relief.
