Does My Mother S Bruises And Abrasions After A Fall Need Immediate Medical Attention?
My 86 yr. old mother tripped and fell about 45minutes ago and it left a small dent between her eyes that bled a little and a small abrasion just inside the hairline. There is also an abrasion on her elbow and a very small one on her knee. There is a red and raised bump on her head above her right eye. She has not felt dizzy or nauseous. Nothing seems to be broken. It is 1:35 a.m. here. Should she sleep or stay awake longer or is there anything else I should do?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that your mother got multiple abrasions over body. Treatment of it is analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Over abrasions you can apply antibiotics ointment. Vitamin B and C is helpful in recovery. You need not to worry much as it does not seems to be internal head injury however it can be excluded by CT scan.
