Does Nausea,hot Flushes During Depo Shot Suggest Pregnancy?

I am experiencing occasional nausea and hot flashes/ sweating. Started last week. I m 27 years old. Currently on the depo shot. Last shot was administered about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Could it be pregnancy? Nausea seems to last a couple hours, stomach turns some. Feel I ll all of sudden. Like a flu. But usually ginger ale and pepto bismol helps it.

Hi,
Since you are still on the shot, chances of conception are very few. These symptoms could mean anything from a gastric infection, hormonal excess from the contraception or exceptionally, a very early pregnancy. Please get an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres to exclude/confirm pregnancy. See a physician to detect if any other cause could be at play. Finally, get a complete clinical evaluation by a gynecologist to plan further management. If pregnancy is negative and infections are ruled out, it is the hormone content in the depo shot that is causing the symptoms and should settle in a couple of weeks. Hope this helps.
