Hello
Thanks for your query.Your blood group is B-ve and your husband :s blood group is O +ve and you have aborted once .Please note that not every woman who has a negative blood group face this problem. If the fetus is of +ve blood group there are chances of developing a antibodies that cross the placental barrier and damage the fetus. But nature is so great and kind to man kind that it takes care of these antibodies and results in a natural pregnancy.Since you have aborted once please get your Coombs Test done (Blood Test) done to know whether you have antibodies in your blood as a result of this episode. So do not worry You have to consult Hematologist during pregnancy for evaluation and proper management during pregnancy.By the way My wife is A-ve and I am B+ve and we have three children without any adverse events during pregnancy.and deliveries.

Hi thanks for posting your health query.
At the outset I advice you to relax and don't be in tension.Negative blood groups don't affect the conception and carrying of pregnancy.
The problem that is managable is:
when wife's blood group is negative and husband blood is positive and vice versa. The condition is called as Rh incompatibility. There is no sffect on mother but baby is victim of Rh incompatibility. The first baby is not effected at all.All babies after first are effected and that too in mother's womb.
It is preventable condition.
As soon as baby is born ,baby's blood group is done and if the blood group of baby is positive, Inj of anti D is given to mother to prevent Rh incopatibility in feature pregnancies, that is 2nd ,3rd and so on.
Since your Rh negative and your husband is positive.Blood group of your baby will be tested after delivery and if it turns out to be positive .You will have to recive inj anti D .
Since you have recived anti D after abortion , your 2nd pregnancy your baby will not be effected .
Hope i answered your question.
