Does Nervousness Cause Rise In Blood Pressure?

I m age 24 - taking part in a study and during the screening process, my blood pressure was a bit high at 138/70. I was pretty nervous so could this be the cause? I feel like if I was sitting in my living room at home and did the same test, It would be a lot lower as far more relaxed. (My weight is 64kg and i m 180cm tall) so on the lighter side.
