Hello and welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I request you to keep away from putting anything in your child's ear not even a earbud. It can be dangerous as it may impair the child's hearing permanently. Decreased hearing is most commonly due to impacted wax. But do not try at home to remove it as it may lead to tympanic membrane damage. I advise you to do dressing only under the supervision of a doctor. Your child is all well. After all wax formation is a natural protection phenomenon of our ears. Do not worry at all.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suhas Chauhan
