Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I take doxazosin. Started with one pill and felt dizzy , faint and awful. Stopped then started about a week later on 1/4 pill I was OK and it helped. went to 1/2after a few months andwasOK then as needed went to 1 pill/ night and was OK Lately I have been feeling dizzy , faint etc .Is this too much Doxazosin?
If you are taking a quarter tablet of Doxazosin or half tablet of it then such dose is not the therapeutic dose neither it induces some side effects, one has to take the full recommended dose. If you experienced dizziness and fainting then it may not be due to Doxazosin, and if you want to confirm this then you have to take the full dose of one tablet. Another option is you can discuss this with the doctor who prescribed this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
