Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen And Back Indicate Pregnancy?

Hi, I had a d&c on July 3rd, I’ve been trying to conceive since mid August. Last month (nov) I spotted 5days (nov 16-20) straight and the 6th day (21st) I got my period for 5days. I had clear stretchy mucus 2days after (27th) and also had sex. I’ve been having lower stomach pains and back pains. How do I know if I am pregnant without testing too early for a negative?

Hello,
Thanks for letting us know your health concern. Ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next period. If you had a natural period followed immediately by symptoms of ovulation, it is likely that you have short cycles. Recording of basal body temperature from day one of the cycle is useful in the detection of ovulation and pregnancy very early. Else, you have to go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titers a week after the intercourse. Hope this helps.
