Does Pain Under Rib Cage Area Indicate Breast Cancer?

I get horrible pain underneath my ribs that last for three days or so. The only time I get the pain is during my period. Tylenol and motrin do not touch it. Even taken back to back. I had an ultrasound and the ob/gyn told me that my ovaries were great and that all of my female parts looked perfect. Could this be a sign of breast cancer?

Usually pain under rib means not a breast cancer. If you feel any lump or mass in the breast then you should go for mammogram. The pain you are describing happens to every one more so for some people around the time of menstrual period. you should take some muscle relaxants and some times hot compress will help.

People who have very strong family history of breast cancer and above age 35 should have yearly mammograms.
