Does Peripheral Neuropathy Cause Fecal Incontinence?

Does Peripheral Neuropathy cause fecal incontinence? I have had severe Peripheral Neuropathy due to Statins since 1999. I've been through numerous NCS's & EMG's with each testing showing the progression. When my Opthamologist did my testing & eye surgery, he told me that it was in my eyes and that this condition also affects all parts of the body. My PCP told me to do Kegal exercises, but has not changed anything. I was also told that because I am now diabetic and my blood sugars are too high, I am not a good candidate for any surgeries. Any ideas or suggestions regarding my bowel situation?

Peripheral neuropathy can cause disturbances in the bowel function. I suggest physiological testing of your bowel function at a dedicated gastroenterological center.
