Does Poor Blood Circulation In The Brain Cause Pain At The Base Of The Skull?
My friend has neck issues with herniated disk. I notice that , when she climbs stairs or walks too much , she has great pain on the back of her head and the base of her skull. She also has Lupus and osteoporosis. What could help her? I m thinking ....is it possible...she has poor circulation to the brain when exertion cause head pain ?
The pain is due to herniated disc and not due to the poor blood supply. He can consult a neurosurgeon and get evaluated. As of now analgesics like Acetaminophen or tramadol can be tried.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
