Does Poor Water Intake In An Infant Cause Yellow Urination?

My six months plus old baby wets diapers only maximum of four times in a day. And the urine is very yellow. I have just started solid food for him. He doesn t feed well. And the weather is hot. Is it that I m not giving him enough water? Or. How much water is enough and okay to give him?

Hi,

Yes, poor water intake causes yellow urine. You have to start giving water when solids are started. Give two to three spoons of water six to eight times a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sreekanthababu Polthi,
