Does Postinor Effect Pregnancy ?

Trying for a baby girl so had sex days befor ovulation expecting that it wil fertalize when egg is released on ovulation day. On ovulation day had sex but used postinor because I don't want the baby to be a boy. Does that affect any chance of getting pregant.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Postinor is an emergency contraceptive pill. It acts by postponing ovulation.

* So if you have taken postinor then it has postponed the ovulation date. The semen instilled by earlier sex before ovulation won't get chance to fertilize the ovum and the upcoming period may be delayed.
* If ovulation had already ocured and fertilized and Postinor was taken afterwards:
- Pregnancy will be non viable/you will have periods.
- Fetus will have side effects of the high dose hormones in postinor.
