Does Prodep Cab Cause Side Effects?
Hi Doctor, My daughter was suffering from OCD for the last three years and have been under treatment with Prodep Cab and was doing well. During recent months, she says she feels heavy in the heart and wants to cry. Once she crys her feels ok. but she is moody of late. kindly help

Prodep 10 capsule contains fluoxetine that is a type of antidepressant belonging to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) group of medications. It is widely prescribed to treat depression and other mental health conditions like panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder. It works by increasing the level of a chemical called serotonin in the brain. This improves your mood, relieves anxiety, tension and helps you sleep better.
Side effects Prodep capsule are nausea, vomiting, indigestion, loss of appetite, low sexual desire, erectile dysfunction, influenza like symptoms, sore throat, sweating, tremor, weakness, yawning, difficulty in sleeping, sinus infection, abnormal dreams, delayed ejaculation, dryness of mouth, nervousness, allergic reactions etc. If these side effects persist for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor promptly for medical attention. Don't stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor despite of having any side effects.
