Does Red Spot In The Bladder Indicate CIS Cancer?

i went to the VA today and had the flexible cyto something scope inserted into my bladder. the dr said i had a red spot he was surprised and kept asking me if i was a smoker. I never have been a smoker. I think he took a biopsy of the red spot but cant be sure as he didnt tell me this. he didnt speak with me after. the nurse said they would be in touch and they put me out the door. i have done internet reaearch it seems most red bladder spots are CIS cancer? is this correct or are there other causes?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Red spots in bladder can be carcinoma in situ of bladder or it can be other benign lesions like papilloma or cystitis cystica.
So don't worry much about that. Just be relaxed. Just wait for your biopsy results. It will give you exact diagnosis and clears all doubts. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
