Does Removing Tonsils Affect Singing?

Hi ! I am 12 years old now . . When i was a kid My doctor tell that my Tonsils are large so it needed to be remove it . . But i Disapprove because I don't know if it could affect my singing voice . . I can do some whistle register and other . . Will it affect my voice in singing voice if i approve to remove my tosils?

Hi, thanks for the query.
Yes there will little change in voice & mild post operative pain for few days. During surgery if no damage to pharyngeal arches occurs , voice will be OK. You will need to train your voice according to new condition after tonsil removal.
