Does Septum Turn Red If The Person Is Taking Cocaine?

Hi. I wanted to know if the septum goes a red colour from having cocaine, my partner has a drug problem is on Methadome, but I know he takes other drugs from time to time but denies it, and im always looking for signs. I notice sometimes his nose area is a bit red like having a cold? How can I tell?

Yes, this may be a sign of snorting coke. It causes inflammation. It also causes runny nose, which when frequently wiped, may cause redness, irritation and itching. But of course, hard proof would be the patient accepting the habit or being caught in the act, or drugs found on his person(?).
