Does Severe Pain And Swelling Of The Foot Need Medical Attention?

I fell while dancing and the whole right side of my foot and the top of my right foot is badly bruised. I can wiggle all my toes and move my foot around but walking with a limp cause it s swollen. When sitting around no throbbing pain. How do I know if I need to see a doctor? It looks terrible

I think you have sustained a injury of the muscle and ligaments and not bone seems to be normal still I would recommend you to get a x ray of the foot to see if there is any minor hair line fracture is there. if x ray is normal than you can follow these easy steps.
1.ice application
2.compression bandage or splint
3.Voletran ointment
4. If still there is pain than I would recommend you to take Brufen tablet for pain relief. Also avoid walking or keep your feet hanging for long time as it can increase swelling of the foot.
