Does Sinus Infection And Post Nasal Drip Cause Infertility?
Hi, I have cronic sinustis (had this for approx 15 years) and am currently awaiting a decision on whether I can have an operation to assit with drainage. (I had a CT scan last week and am seeing a consultant next week). I am also currently undergoing IVF treatment (blastocyst) transfers and have not been successful yet. My embryos are very healthy, hormones balanced etc and the only thing that is not heathly is my constant sinus infection, post nasal drip and infected mucus that runs down the back of my throat. Could this infection be hindering my immune system and therefore affecting the chances of my body accepting a pregnancy. I have a choice of waiting for the ENT specilaist to perform an operation on my sinus's before I move onto my next IVF transfer. Any advice would be appreciated...do I wait to have the ENT operation? Or is this not going to affect my IVF transfer anyway?
