Does Site Of Aspiration Matter To Get Conclusive Results Of Bone Marrow Biopsy?
Yes, I ve had a bone aspiration on my left side but before that I had an MRI that showed a mastatic process on my right pelvis hip and femur. My question is does it matter witch side of the hip area they did the aspiration on to get a conclusive bone marrow BX.

Hi The best site is to take biopsy from the site of lesion but still in metastasis usually the site which is easily accesible is choosen for biopsy even it is low in metastasis.This is also helpful. Hope this helps Take care
