Does Soreness In The Throat Occur Due To Congestion?

I've had a some discomfort in my throat along with congestion for about two weeks, the throat discomfort as somewhat subsided and take i noticed some soreness in the area below my chin where I assume my nodes are. Is it typical for this soreness as the lymph nodes fight off whatever has been causing my congestion. I have had no fever, no trouble eating or drinking and no trouble sleeping during this whole time.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you had sore throat...
So by it you can have reactive lymph node enlargement...

For few day take amoxiclav antibiotic with salt water gargle...
If still no improvement throat swab can taken for further work up with posterior pharynx examination.

If lymph node not subsided in 7 days FNAC taken....

You can keep these in mind and consult doc for it.
