Does Sores/bumps On Bottom Lips Without Any Sexual Encounter Suggest An STD?

A couple days ago, I found a bump on my bottom lip, in the corner, & i tryed to pop it because I thought it was a puss bump, then I started getting sores in my mouth, so I Googled it and found out those are some symptoms of herpes , But I haven t did anything sexual since October 2010 , is it possible that I could be just now seeing symptoms of an STD ?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Concomitant genital and oral bumps raise the suspicion of herpes infection, however, serological tests are required to confirm the infection.
Herpes infection is characterized by formation of vesicles on the genitalia and oral mucosa.
These vesicles are painful and itchy.
In order to confirm or rule out herpes, serological tests should be done.

Thanks and take care
