Does Sprain Cause The Feeling Of Fainting And Hotness In Body?
Hi, my friend hurt his ankle earlier today. A little earlier tonight he got up feeling like he was going to throw up, and also feeling very hot. Is this normal for a sprain, or might he have broken something? He said he heard a pop when it happened.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Mukesh Chugh's Response
Hi Thanks for your query I have gone through your query, the sound produced may be because of ligament rupture or a fracture needs to be ruled out by X ray. As far as fainting is concern it may be because of stress of trauma and it's not so unusual. Do ice fomentation long with the limb elevation and compression bandage. Take ibuprofen and trypsin/chymotrypsin to reduce pain and swelling. Take care Regards Dr.chugh http://bit.ly/drmchugh
