Does Std Infected Person Compulsorily Infect His Partner?
hi, one of my friends boyfriend called her and told her that he had a STD called chlamydia..my friend was wondering if she had it also..her boyfriend insist that she go to the doctor and see what's up..so she did, got tested and the results were positive, that she dont have it..it was somehow confusing because my friend then thought where did her boyfriend got it from because she dont have it..so it is possible that her boyfriend and her had sexual interaction and she didnt get it?..how is that possible?
Hi, Welcome to HCM. STDs quite often remains asymptomatic in women. They would not aware that they are being infected but likely to go for future complications like chronic abdominal pain, ectopic pregnancy, infertility, transmitting the infection to others etc. So it is always better to receive the treatment as advised by the physician if your sex partner had some STD infection. Partner treatment is a must in the management of STD. Don't go into the research where from her boy friend got this disease. It is the head ache of the treating physician or the public health worker involved in this set up. Dr S.Murugan
