Does Steroid Intake Cause Body Ache,muscle And Joint Pain?
hi im radika doctors said that i had ascites in stomatch and lungs and i was been sujjested to take steroid 16mg three tablets per day but now im allright about ascites and also my dosage of tablets have been reduced to 4mg now but now im having body ache , muscel n joint pain . so what is the actual problem , is this is the side effects of these steroids please clarrify me !

Steroids do cause osteoporosis if taken for a long time, and this might cause you pain and aches in bones and muscles. The withdrawal of the drug would be gradual under medical supervision, and you would be able to come out of this once stabilised. Thanks and take care.
