Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Retinitis pigmentosa is a retinal dystrophy which affects the the retinal photoreceptors called as rods and causes gradual loss of vision. The loss of vision is more in the night initially.
It is usually because of hereditary condition and it runs in families. This does not have any relationship with stress and anxiety.

As of now there is no cure for the disease. The treatment is mainly by treating the causes which lead to loss of vision like macular edema, cataract, refractive error...

Hence I advice you to consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
