Does Susten Cause Any Side Effects?
Hello Doctor, m 30 yrs old, trying to conceive from last 9 months.recently doc diagnose some infection in vagina and given a course of 15 days,after that in my next visit yesterday she told me that there is no more infection now,n i should take susten 400 daily for rest of the 14 days. what is the use of this tablet ,are there any chances of conceive with this tablet and what r the side effects of this tablet?Pls suggest.

Susten 400mg tablet contains progesterone, a natural female sex hormone which is used to treat menstrual and pregnancy related issues that are caused due to hormonal imbalance. Progesterone is important in the regulation of ovulation and menstruation. It is used to cause menstrual periods in women who have not reached menopause but are not having periods due to a lack of natural progesterone in the body. This medicine helps to prepare the uterus for pregnancy by causing the uterus lining to thicken. This increases the chance of a successful pregnancy.
Side effects of Susten 400 are headache, abdominal pain, abdominal bloating, dizziness, depression, breast tenderness, hot flashes, vaginal discharge, join pain, urinary incontinence, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, hair loss, chest pain, fever and chills, blurred vision, diarrhoea or constipation, allergic reactions etc.
