Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Cerazette is a progestogen-only
contraceptive pill.
Each tablet of Cerazette contains 75 microgram
desogestrel.
Tablets must be taken every day at about the same time so that the interval between two tablets always is 24 hours.
The first tablet should be taken on the first day of menstrual bleeding. Thereafter one tablet each day is to be taken continuously, without taking any notice on possible bleeding.
There is no pill-free week and a new
blister is started directly the day after the previous one.
Although the medication may offer protection after intake of 2 tablets, barrier method is recommended for the first 7 days of tablet-taking during the first cycle.
Since you have already had
unprotected intercourse on day 3 after the commencement of the pill, it should have started offering protection and hence, continue with the pill as recommended and wait for the periods to happen. Continue with the same without any interruption with the next pack once this pack gets over.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
