Does Taking Benazepril With Doxycycline Increase BP?

I was diagnosed with a prostate infection last week, and my blood pressure was 140/104. My doctor prescribed benazepril hcl for blood pressure, and doxycycline for the infection. I have had worse symptoms since I began my meds -- I am showing almost all the side effects for the blood pressure med -- dizziness, insomnia, chills, lethary, overall pain, etc. Can I stop taking the blood pressure med and see if my symptoms lessen-- is it too early to expect improvement on the prostate infection? (My urine is no longer cloudy, and the pain in my back has diminished for the most part.)
