Does Taking Clindamycin Cause Any Side Effects?

What are the chances of a severe, life threatening reaction to a week or two of clindamycin.And is that the best treatment for a pill ideal abscess 6 weeks after total knee replacement. (Where I was also give I ve clindamycin for two days). I am 67.My email is YYYY@YYYY .

Hi thank you for querry.
clindamycine is an antibiotic use in osteomylitis soft tissue staphylococus bone and jiont infection.
as inyour case side effects are concerned it causes high risk group are liver and kidney dysfunction patients.
severe life threatning reaction of clindamycine are venticular fibrilation,anaphylactic shock,cardiacarrest and colonic ulceration in such situataion must discontinue therapy.
