Does Taking Doxycycline For Chlamydia Cause Tongue Swelling And Ulcer?

Hi, I went to a doctor at a hospital because i think i may have a std. My penis is burring and has a tingling sensation. The doctor gave me doxycycline for cylhmidia and gonoroa and also took a urine sample and culture. Now after 2 days of the med. my tounge is killing me its swollen and has ulcer looking spots . Im worried.

Yes, doxycycline can cause tongue swelling and ulcers. It can cause side effects such as:
cough, headache, fever, flu symptoms
body aches, joint pain
rash,
swollen glands,
diarrhea, nausea, vomiting,
swelling in your face or tongue
sores or white spots on the lips, tongue or inside the mouth.

You should contact Your doctor so that he or she can check You and find the reason of Your difficulties.

difficult with breathing, swelling of your lips, tongue, face or throat You should get emergency medical help.
