Can taking Pepcid AC/Famotidine contribute to a miscarriage? My recent pregnancy seemed to be going very well, with a very good ultrasound at 8 weeks. The baby seemed to have died at 9 weeks and the only thing I changed was switching from Tums to Pepcid at 8 weeks.
Pepcid is a brand name of Famotidine and it won’t cause miscarriage as a side effect. It may be due to something else and always seek medical opinion before starting or stopping a drug in pregnancy. Wishing you good health.
