Does Taking Prilosec Causes Low Blood Level In The Body?

i have been on prilosec for about 10 years---40 to 60 mg daily----now--all of a sudden--i my blood is staying low as anemia---and i am having kidny irregularities---have not had any problem with kidneys since 1959---i stopped prilosec on my own last month ---fel better and now my blood levels are better--can you please tell me if prilosec did this

Although rare, but Prilosec can cause anemia on prolonged use.

The most commonly reported side effects of the proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec included headache, abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea.

On prolonged use it may cause osteoporosis (thinning of the bones), increased risk of infections, and iron-deficiency anemia.
