Does Taking Utovlan To Delay Periods Cause Infertility?
Hi I’m taking utovlan to delay my period as I’m getting married and would love to conceive straight after the wedding. I’ve started taking the tablets so my period comes at a good time where then I will be at my most fertile on holiday. Just wondering if these tablets will affect my fertility and will i still be able to conceive like normal?
Norethisterone (Utovlan) is a man-made version of the female sex hormone progesterone. It works by mimicking the effects of your natural progesterone.
Taking Utovlan a few days before your period is due will trick your body into thinking you're pregnant, so you don't have a period until you stop taking the medicine.
But it does not affect in any way your fertility, so don't worry.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
