Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Taking Wellbutrin Show False Positive Results For Amphetamines?
Hello I recently was given a medication to help with the anxiety and edge to stop smoking called wellbut rin and recently had a pre_employment test u.a. would do it cause a positive test for amphetamines if so what can I do to prove I was not on any illeligal drugs
The paper is flawed in that most drug positivity is not due to known causes. Also, GC-MS is not flawless, but it is a far better test than the 4 to 10 dollar screen most commonly used. This test can run up to 300 bucks. You would need to have it, run on the original sample to remove doubt. There is also hair testing, but there are not zero false readings on any test, and the more you test, the more likely you are to have false readings.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Matt Wachsman
