Does Taking Betnasol By A Pregnant Lady Have Any Side Effects On Her Baby?

I am 35wk+4days pregnant. I felt something leak today and wondered if it was amniotic fluid. My doctor checked for leaks and mentioned there were none. However she mentioned that my cervix is 25% effaced and the baby is stationed at -3 to -2.5. She suggested I take two doses of Betnasol 12mg 24 hours apart for lung development. I have read that Betnasol can cause learning problems in the baby in longterm. Is there any side effects that can happen bcoz of the two doses of Betnasol I took?

Hello,
Betnesol is given for maturing the lung when premature birth is imminent.
Studies have shown that these short term steroids don't cause any problem to the child later on.
Thanks
