Does Taking Flovent/apo-salvent Cfc Free Causes High Result In Breath Analyser?
Hi, I was recently given a breathalyzer test (roadside) and my result was really high! I had had alcohol, but not much and over a period of several hours. I had just taken my inhalers (Flovent HFA 250 MCG and Apo-Salvent CFC FREE INH 100UG) Could these be the cause?
Some inhalers have alcohol as an ingredient. Look at the total volume you take in in one inhalation (under a teaspoon). I strongly suspect you had more than a teaspoon of alcohol to drink. If you do an inhaler and IMMEDIATELY do a breathalyzer, it's maybe going to have an effect. BUT, the alcohol in the inhaler is absorbed rapidly and distributes down to an unnoticeable amount in minutes. Taking in large amounts of alcohol can stay for a long time.
