Does Taxim -oz Tablets Work For Allergic Bronchitis?

i was suffering from allergic bronchitis,and doctor gave me taxim -oz-200mg tablets for 5 days;no improvement;the tablet container box,literature mentions it as specific for dysentry and diarreoh with side effects;was my doctor wrong or mistakenly prescribed the medicine;please clarify

I cannot be said that your doctor is wrongly prescribed you the tablets.
Per say there is no role of antibiotics to play in allergic bronchitis but theses medication might have given to you prophylactically to avoid the infection & further deterioration of the condition.
Though the mainly these medication used in the treatment of diarrhea & disentry it can also be used occasionally to treat the other types of infections this is especially true about the cefizime content of the tablet.

My opinion to you is that if the condition has not improved it is better to get proper consultation from the chest physician.
