Hello,
Firstly, you should have told me what you experience due to nose allergy.
1. Do you have nasal congestion?
2. Do you have a running nose?
3. Is there a breathing problem?
4. What problem do you feel in the throat and ear?
5. Is there
sneezing, headache, pressure over face?
Actually, there are several diseases that can come under
nasal allergy. I have to diagnose it correctly to give you exact treatment and hence, it can be controlled or may be cured.
So, I would like to give you some tests:
1.
Sinus CT
2. Complete Blood Test
3.
Skin Allergy test
4. Nasal Provocation test
5. Nasal Endoscopy
Meanwhile, you can take
1.
Loratadine 10 mg orally once a day
2.
flunisolide inhaler, 2 inhalations twice daily for 1 month.
Telekast-L you can take if there is a need. Otherwise, do not take it. You can do the followings:
Try to stay inside between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. during ragweed season. Schedule outdoor activities for late afternoon when pollen counts are usually lower.
Keep your grass short and wear a mask if you have to mow it yourself. Use a clothes dryer instead of an outdoor clothesline to keep pollen off your clothes.
Turn on an air conditioner instead of opening your windows. Avoid window and attic fans, which just blow allergens into your home.
Also, consider getting an indoor air purifier with a HEPA filter to trap as many allergens as possible, but have someone else change the filter for you as needed.
Do not worry and post another question with the test results later. Here in HCM, we have many good docs who can follow you up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
