Does Tenderness In Nipple, delay In Periods And Lower Abdominal Pain Indicate Pregnancy?
am i pregnant? hello im crystal, female and 19 years of age. im completely off contraception and have been for 8-9 months. i just recently missed my period and im now 6 days overdue. im experiencing very very tender nipples. im so curious if im pregnant? ive done 3 tests so far but yet its coming up negative. so my question is could i be pregnant? and why wont my home pregnancy test detect it? ive never missed a period. my menstrual cycles are all normal. and yes i did have sex on a fertile day the day before my ovulation date. also have had lower abdominal pains. please help!? thankyou, crystal.
Hi Ms. Crystal, Home pregnancy tests read well when performed with a fresh early morning sample of urine 3-7 days after the missed period. If you have done the tests as above, it is likely that you may not be pregnant. Yet, it is better to get a definite confirmation through an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres and also a trans-vaginal sonogram. If negative, you could be having a transient hormonal disturbance which can be easily corrected by giving a kick-back to the ovaries using hormones for withdrawal. Hope this helps.
