Hi, Im a 33 years old male, just yesterday I had the results of my semen analysis and they indicated some issues as my count is around 18M and I only have 5% normal shape sperms, my type A sperms are zero and 60% type D (non moving). I was really surprised as I have been marrried for more than 4 years and never had any problems as it realtes to my sexual activities with my wife. I don't smoke or drink and I excercise 2-3 times a week. I also had an Ultra Sound yesterday and the doctor told me that I have a mild level of varicose on my left testicle with a very small cyst. We have been trying to oncieve for the first time over the last one year and now I'm really concerned with my fertelity.
Would this varicose require surgery? is it safe? could it indicate a bigger problem? would it be the reason behind my sperm issues? what should i do next? thanks so much for your help.
1.Varicose veins in the scrotal scan can be one of the possible cause for the lower sperm count and reason for infertility. 2.varicocele is seen as a dilated venous channels seen at the upper pole , and size measures pre and post valsalva. 3.Its simple procedure, no much complications but recurrence is seen in many cases. 4.The sperm count is 20million as WHO cutoff to conceive, or you can go for fertility support that will help. 5.Its not very big problem, medications also can incase sperm found to some extent. Good luck.
