Does The Finax Cause Impotency, Affect Sperm Count And Loss Of Libido Taken For Hair Fall And Can You Suggest The Alternative Medication For This?
Hello Sir, I have hairfall problem and my doctor prescribed me finax 1 mg and amexidil 5. But I have read that finax causes impotency and loss of libido and affects sperm count. Could you please suggest me any other med instead of finax or if I can use only amexidil and stop using finax.

! mg Finasteride is prescribed routinely for male pattern hair fall. At this dosage, it does not cause the side effects you have mentioned, though theoretically there is a minor possibility. Even if it does affect your libido, the changes are completely reversible on stopping the medication. However, if you are still worried, you could continue with 5% Minoxidil- Amexidil combination and take oral supplements containing biotin, cysteine and methionine. This may not be as effective as taking finasteride, however it will definitely help on long term usage. There is no substitute for finasteride group of drugs.
